Ladies, it’s time to toss out your 90’s chokers because 2017 will take us back a little further into the 70’s and 80’s. Here’s a little bit of what to expect in 2017.
In 2016, you may have already began to see an upward trend in bell sleeve shirts and bell bottom jeans and in 2017, don’t expect to see those 70’s staples going away anytime soon. Romantic styles including loose, flowing tops, pants, and dresses will be replacing tight midi’s and skinny jeans.
Are you an 80’s baby? Madonna fanatic? If so, you’ll swoon over the return of fishnet stockings! Fishnet stockings will be reborn this year in many different prints, layers, and even sizes – try fishnet socks if you’re feeling extra chíc.
Neutral colors, especially blush in the spring, will still reign supreme this year but expect to see A LOT more stripes on everything from sweaters to jackets and dresses.
If you follow me on Instagram (@_krystalbailey), then you may have seen my last post on athleisure and how it’s popularity in the fashion realm has been taking over. Watch out 2017, stylish sneakers, jackets, and trendy workout gear will continue to take over online boutiques and big brand brick and mortar’s like never before.
Lastly, mules, kitten heels, and just about every shoe labeled ‘ugly’ for the last decade, will be rearing its’ unattractive heads out and onto just about every retailer’s shelf.
Throwbacks are really coming back to life this year. Expect to see everything from high-top Reebok classics to bell bottoms! If you’re one to stay on trend, let your boldness be expressed through your hair and makeup – don’t be afraid to get those straight across bangs you’ve always wanted or try a fun glittery lip.
Are you happy to see any of these looks come back to life this year? Absolutely hate any of them?
