2017 Summer Make Up Must Haves

It’s been a little while since I’ve aimlessly shopped for make up! Since we’re so close to summer, I couldn’t have picked a better time to do so and of course, share!

Set your alarms, ladies! The much-anticipated Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Eye Shadow Palette is set to be released TODAY June 21 at 8 AM PST here. Have you seen how GORGEOUS this palette is!? The palette consists of 35 shades and according to Jaclyn, will retail for around $38.00 – such a steal! For anyone who doesn’t know, Jaclyn is a professional makeup artist who started at MAC but quickly grew her talent and following on YouTube, averaging millions of views – she’s the real deal.

If you’re a fan of Kylie Cosmetics, you may want to find another alarm because KKW (Kim Kardashian West) Beauty is also launching TODAY at 9am PST here. Kim is releasing creme contour and highlight kits. She’s shown on her SnapChat that she made sure her bestie, and world famous celebrity make up artist, Mario DeDivanovic had played a large role in approving the formula and color of her cosmetics. Kim basically made creme contour and highlighting famous so, we’re thinking these sets may totally be worth a try!

If you’ve loved any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes, something hot is calling your name. The new Urban Decay NAKED Heat palette is everything you need for summer. This beautiful range of fiery neutrals are sure to give you the perfect look. I’ve actually taken a break from the NAKED palettes but this bad boy has brought me back!

If the stunning model, mama, chef, and ultimate beauty queen Chrissy Teigen gave you make-up advice, would you take it? Don’t worry, you don’t have to answer that – the answer is obviously yes. Thankfully, Chrissy Teigen paired up with one of the best beauty brands out there, Becca and together, they created the perfect glow face palette for all your summer looks! Each shade featured in this palette blends like a dream and works well on just about any skin tone.

dry shampooA few posts back, Leigha mentioned her favorite dry shampoo: Batiste. If you can recall, she was more than halfway through her pregnancy, hormonal, and her hair was oiler than ever – so, basically this dry shampoo was a unicorn if it was worthy enough to make her cut of must-haves during this time period. Well, we both still use Batiste (even more now in the warmer months) and recently found out that we weren’t alone in our adoration for Batiste’s Dry Shampoo! Batiste ranked in the top picks of dry shampoos on Reviews.com! Just how good is that? Well, Reviews.com spent 6 weeks researching, testing over 50 formulas and consulting with experienced stylists/beauty industry experts to determine which were the best at delivering fresh hair without a full wash! Check out their full dry shampoo guide here.

Have you already found your perfect vacation bag? Let us know – we love product tips!

Speaking of vacations – recently, my little family of four took our first vacation as a whole. We traveled by plane, with our two lap-riding, both under the age of two daughters. Want to know how it went? Let me just tell you that we needed a vacation from our vacation once it was all over with. Luckily we traveled to Orlando, Florida so we definitely weren’t the only ones with babies on the plane. Nothing can mentally prepare for the amount of stuff you bring when you travel with a toddler and infant – NOTHING. We decided it would be a good idea if Nick, my husband, went to pick up the rental car and then returned to pick all of us up with all of our STUFF. Well, here’s what we looked like waiting for daddy to return:

On this trip we found out just how thankful we are for:

  • The Nose Frida – because EVERYONE in our family got sick. We basically survived the night time because of this thing.
  • Baby Wearing – self explanatory.
  • Starbucks – Their cinnamon almond milk macchiato comforted our souls.

Our trip may have been a lot to handle but I’m totally looking forward to more family adventures and summer beach trips that call for cute pom pom bags and pineapple straw totes!
